Oil and Wax: Contemporary Abstract Painting with Cold Wax Medium

Instructor: Rebecca Crowell

During these workshops, participants explore ways to build up abstract oil paintings in luminous layers through the use of cold wax medium, tube paint, pigment sticks and powdered pigments. Discover new ways to create textures, lines, and color fields. , and experiment with a wide variety of tools and techniques. Cold wax medium is a safer alternative to encaustic with minimal requirements for equipment and set up.
